Hospice of Tennessee Valley opened the doors to its new office building February 5, 2006

"We are excited about the new building; we feel it is a great location and we will be able to serve our patients and the community better in this setting," said Blake Edwards, Executive Director of Hospice of Tennessee Valley.

Hospice of Tennessee Valley has been operating in the Shoals Entrepreneurial Center.  "It's a great place to start your business and we appreciate the hospitality they have shown us, but as a growing company, we feel that we had to move to a new location, so that our staff would have room to grow." said David Crosby, Director of Operations at Hospice of Tennessee Valley.

They also wanted to be a part of the beautification of downtown Florence.

"With the growth and reconstruction of downtown; we thought that the building had potential and could bring a new and positive look to the downtown area" Edwards said.

Hospice is also hoping to recruit new volunteers and be more active in the community with special projects and programs.  "Last year we did several projects in which the community was involved in.  With this new location we will be easily on hand for the community to be more involved with these projects." said JoHelene Patrick, Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of Tennessee Valley.

Hospice of Tennessee Valley provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people; they provide comfort and care for your loved one.
